As we near the middle of the semester with many assignments, projects and tests on the horizon. . . I encourage you to consider these dozen tips for each day...
- Take one day at a time.
- Pray
- Eat right.
- Pace yourself. Spread out big changes and difficult projects over time; don't lump the hard things all together.
- Talk less; listen more.
- Separate worries from concerns . If a situation is a concern, find out what God would have you do and let go of the anxiety . If you can't do anything about a situation, forget it.
- Find time to be alone, jot down thoughts and inspirations.
- Spend time with someone you love
- Laugh, find at least a few minutes to relax and have fun.
- Develop a forgiving attitude (most people are doing the best they can).
- Go to bed on time and get up on time so you can start the day unrushed.
- Every night before bed, think of one thing you're grateful for that you've never been grateful for before.

Thanks for this wonderful post! It's a nice reminder during our busy semester of how we need to approach everything we have going on. In our lives as well as in our academic classes.
We all have so many things going on, it's a great feeling to know we have god, family, friends, peers and teachers behind us every step of the way.
I agree, I am the kind of person who does not handle stress well. This time during the semester is always the worst for me because I feel like everything is do at once. Maybe these tips will help me to not get to strung out. Thanks for the helpful post, I often have to remind my self to take it one day at a time.
I loved your post Mrs. White. It almost made me cry haha i am always to busy i feel like. I dont take time to enjoy life. I have so many worries right now it is unbelievable but i know we all do. Im going to take more time for myself. Be my own bestfriend haha.
I LOVE this post! Much needed and appreciated!
What a wonderful reminder. Even when things get overwhelming in life we still need to fit in quality time with others and pace ourselves.
This is an awesome post and I totally agree we need to take time out for ourselves, which I realized after reading this that I do not do as much as I should. With the week I just had I really need to to have time to myself everyday. Thanks so much for the reminder!
Thank you for that. I really needed to sit back and look at things i may want to get my work in before surgery but i may need to accept help and say well i cant get it all done now but i can definatly before the end of the semester... thank you for a dose of perspective...
when i saw this post i had to stop and say umm i cannot believe its midterm already.
Thank you so much for posting this, it means a lot that you really care about us and that you are looking out for us. I cant believe its midterm time already! Thats crazy! This semester is flying by!
Thank you for this post, Mrs. White! Sometimes our lives get so busy and we forget to do the small things. We all need to remember that school and the other stressful things in life are not the only things we need to take care of. We need to take care of ourselves :-)
