I saw the post about the Special Olympics and instantly was curious as to if there are any things concerning the deaf community for me to participate in here in Richmond. I know about some things since I am in the Deaf Ed. program but I was wondering if there was anything local for me to get plugged into and build up my sign language skills. If anyone has any information please let me know. I would greatly appreciate it. :D

Also, I am in need of some help with my Observation project. Since we are not aloud to conduct it at Model I am in a bind. I am not from around here and do not know of any other schools or special education teachers for me to observe. If I could get some help on this as well that would be great.

Thanks a ton :D

Madison Central high school is a good place to go. They have a couple of real good special education teachers there.

I've made contact with a teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in Clark County who is willing to accept observers. If anyone is interested in observing her, contact me for her name and email address.
