Hey Guys, I was just wondering if everyone did well on the test. I tried really hard and ended up with a 41/50, which averages to about a 82 but thats still not wonderful. I was just wanting some feedback on everyone elses first test experience. Thanks!

Hey Melissa! I also got a B on the test. I thought I had done a little better than that. Mrs. White had said the class before our test was posted, to just answer the question not to go on and on. I think this may have hurt me some. Maybe I should have went in depth more on some of the questions. Hopefully our B will go up to an A on the next test. We know what to expect now.
I felt like on alot of the questions I had to go into depth to get my point across. But I tried not to do this in a repetitive manner.
I agree that you needed to go in depth to get your point across. On the other hand you had to make sure that you did not ramble on about something that didn't belong i the answer. Maybe she will tell us in class what we needed to do more on as a class to get an overall better grade. I really enjoyed the test for the fact that it made you think about each angle of the question and not just one flat answer.
I made a 78%. I was satisfied with my grade, but I will definitely strive to do better next time. I had to miss a class, and I got behind on some of the reading due to my son being sick and out of town meetings. But, hopefully, I won't have so many issues the rest of the semester and I will be able to raise my grade.
I also agree about having to go indepth on some of the questions. I felt Mrs. White stressed to not use any wording from the book, which made it hard for me to come up with my own definitions, which led to me writing more to make sure I had gotten my point across. Although I wrote more I felt that it pushed me to be more creative and I felt that I learned the information more so than just jotting down from the text book. Overall the test took quite a long time to take...which wasn't very fun, but I was happy with the outcome. Maybe next time if we get key points to study it won't be so long and drawn out. A week to take it was definately needed.
Going into detail was probably the thing that got most of us; however, there were questions that I scored perfectly on and did not go in depth. I found it hard to know where to draw the line in this exam.

I did okay on the test, i feel like I could have done much better. I realized that I did not really understand the theories like I thought I did. At least now I know what her tests are like and hopefully next test I will do much better.
I also could've done better. I had trouble with where to draw the line on detail in my asweres to.
I ahve not gotten my grade but these comments make me really nervous. I answered the questions the best way I knew how. I also did not fabricate but just went straight to the point. I hope that is what she was looking for.
I think that she will be able to give more feedback about the test on Wednesday. I hope she does. I think that once I know exactly what she is looking for, the next test will be a lot better. Every professor is different and looks for different things, so the next test should go a lot smoother.
I took a lot of time on this test, and even wrote out my answers before, but still didn't get a very good score. Her feedback on my test made sense, but I still feel like I shouldn't have gotten the score I recieved.
Michelle, I agree with you. I was more nervous than anything about not answering with enough depth or answering with too much depth. I got a high B, but I to thought I had done better.
I felt like my answers should have been more indepth now that the test is ober but i was afraid of going way to indepth on this questions then.
I thought that the hardest thing on this test was not using the wording in the book to explain what I needed to explain and also the going into depth thing. I had the same problem I didn't know where to draw the line because I didn't want to write a book, but I still needed to get my point across. I was happy with my grade and understood her comments and why I missed what I missed so.
i thought the test was very hard and i spent a lot of time on it, but it paid off i did good, but i am dreading this next test grade it seemed to be way harder than the first.
