I believe that we will be volunteering our time to the center. I guess we will help with whatever they need. Atleast that was how I understood Mrs. White when she was telling us about the trip.
You will get to see first hand the augmentative alternative communication devices that the assigned chapter, chapter 15, discussed. It would be WONDERFUL if students would review the chapter or the resources on Blackboard prior to going so they have some background knowledge and understand the basics of what they will be seeing and experiencing.
The Wednesday night class is participating in the "Adapt A Book" project that the center is doing. This directly relates to the chapter in many ways.
It also directly applies to what we have been learning in regards to language.
I've always have wonderful feedback from this experience.

I am really looking forward to learning about this. I think the field trip is going to be fun!
I look forward to this, but I'm not sure how much help I will be! Oh well, I'm always up for a challenge!
Will we be car-pooling?? and if we are who all is going to?? and where are we going to meet and what time??
